I just read an article today that was from the July 26th issue of our Baptist New Mexican paper. I found the article from our Ethics & Religious Liberties feed on the bottom right of our homepage. The most eye opening thing to me was this statement:
New Mexico has the highest food insecurity rate in the nation, with a 15.87 percent food-insecurity rate. This may not mean much by itself, but when we consider that Latin America is 11 percent, we realize that New Mexico, in relationship to World Hunger, is worse than many Third World nations.
