Hello from the Evangelism Conference up in Albuquerque! I am having an amazing time up here with the ministerial staff (plus a couple of wives-only one is mine), and God has done great things here. I kinda hate having to go back home tomorrow, but it will be nice to come home and get to have a great choir practice and youth service. Tonight I had a realization that caught me off guard, and want to share it with you so here are some numbers:
8 - the number of sermons I've heard preached by David in January
3 - how many sermons I heard at the Ignite Student Conference
4 - the number of sermons I have preached on Wednesday nights (counting tomorrow night) in January
9 - this is how many sermons I've heard over the last two days at the evangelism conference
one half - Ken Davis and his comedy/little spiritual truth lesson. I also count it as a half because I missed the first 10 or 15 minutes of it.
So, there you go. I have heard 20 and a half sermons and preached 4 myself all in the month of January. That comes to a grand total of 24 and a half sermons in one month. Does God really expect me to pay attention to all that?! (just kidding) I don't know how many sermons you've heard in January, but if God used them in your life even half as much as He's used these in my life, then you've had a goooooood month.
Okay, I lied. But, I want you to know that it was purely unintentional. I forgot that we had a business meeting on Sunday night a week and a half ago. That drops my total down to 23 and a half sermons.
My only excuse is this: I listened to NINE sermons in the last TWO days. My brain is full!
